From recovery to rebuilding community.
The Remington Willow Foundation (RWF) supports veterans, their loved ones, and individuals in recovery as they rebuild their lives and move forward with purpose.
While our primary focus is serving veterans, we believe recovery is strongest in community and do not turn away those in need when resources allow.
Named in honor of Remington Willow, the daughter of our founder, the foundation represents hope, renewal, and the power of family. RWF was created from lived experience with military service, substance use recovery, and mental health challenges, and from witnessing how powerful the right community, support, and resources can be when someone is rebuilding their life.
Our founder’s own recovery journey began on February 20, 2022, a turning point that inspired the creation of RWF and a commitment to helping other veterans rediscover stability, connection, and purpose. Out of that experience, RWF was created to help others build a foundation for lasting recovery.
At the core of our work is the development of recovery capital, the internal and external resources necessary for long-term recovery. We focus on strengthening three forms of recovery capital:
Social – community, belonging, and peer support that reduce isolation.
Emotional – mental wellness, mindfulness, and resilience that support healing.
Practical – housing, employment, transportation, and access to essential resources.
Together, these pillars help participants rebuild stability, restore connection, and move forward with dignity and purpose.
“Recovery happens when veterans have the community, resources, and purpose needed to rebuild their lives.”

A golf-based outreach and fundraising initiative using the game to build connection, purpose, and support recovery.
A weekly fitness and community program created in partnership with Oklahoma Veterans United and the Santa Fe Center.
Through partnerships and direct support, we help individuals access the tools and resources needed to build and sustain recovery.
These efforts work together to build recovery capital and strengthen the communities we serve.
The Willow is our flagship initiative, a veteran-centered recovery residence designed to provide structured, supportive housing for those committed to rebuilding their lives.
As an OKARR-aligned program, it reflects our commitment to creating safe, accountable environments where recovery can take root and grow.
While The Willow is veteran-centered, it exists as part of a broader mission to strengthen recovery within the entire community, serving as the physical foundation of our work by bringing structure, connection, and purpose together in one place.
The name The Willow carries deep personal meaning for the foundation and its mission. The Remington Willow Foundation was named after our founder’s daughter, Remington Willow, as a reminder that recovery is ultimately about restoring connection, purpose, and family.
The willow tree itself reflects the spirit of recovery, resilient, able to bend through life’s storms while continuing to grow. That meaning became even more personal when our founder proposed to his wife, Ilona, beneath a willow tree, a moment that came to symbolize commitment, renewal, and the belief that even after difficult seasons, growth is still possible.
When The Willow recovery residence is established, a willow tree will be planted on the property as a living reminder of the strength, resilience, and hope that recovery can bring. The Willow represents more than a place, it represents what is possible when recovery is supported, nurtured, and given room to grow.
